Recovering from trauma is genuinely difficult, and that difficulty makes sense. Trauma impacts the nervous system, beliefs about safety, and the way emotions and memories are processed, so healing is rarely quick or linear.

We approach our treatment in 3 steps: 

1) Establishing Stabilisation, Safety, and Coping Skills.

2) Focussed Trauma Treatment.

3) Integration and Vitality.

 

Our therapists are trained in evidence‑based treatments such as trauma‑focused CBT, Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Exposure techniques, and somatic approaches. We understand that trauma can be turbulent, so we also use technology to assist with regulation and mood stabilisation in-session when required.​

 

Our therapists understand that even with the “right” treatment, progress can come in waves rather than straight lines. Setbacks, emotional exhaustion, or feeling stuck do not mean someone is failing - they reflect how deeply the experience has affected the body and mind. Struggling along the way is not a weakness; it is a normal and understandable part of trauma recovery, and we won't give up on you.
